Fine-tuning iMIS

Fine tune your iMIS database to ensure maximum performance.

All database applications need care and feeding (and occasional housekeeping), and iMIS is no exception.  This class contains instructions for 'buffing' your data by using the iMIS utility programs, using the various Name and Activity import utilities to enhance your database and increase its value, using the various authorization methods in iMIS to limit/grant access, adding your own client-specific fields and tabs, and much more!!

Agenda

This one-day course consists of both presentation material and hands-on exercises that walk users through the various utilities, imports, customizer windows, troubleshooting tips, and iMIS table layouts and schema.

• How to create new look-up tables and fields to provide data validation and increase data integrity.
• How to use the iMIS Name and Activity import utilities to add prospect and solicitation data.
• To use the International Address Formatting feature to keep your international addresses in line with postal codes.
• iMIS Word Integration capabilities.
• iMIS database schema.
• Methods for removing duplicate records and review Duplicate Merge Manager capabilities.
• How to synchronize Profile and Address tab information.

Who Should Attend

This class is designed for the iMIS database manager, IT manager, or the person who has been designated as the iMIS ‘guru’ in your office.

Prerequisites

Students should have basic familiarity with the iMIS application, including basic name retrieval. This information can be obtained by attending an iMIS Overview Class (also conducted by BroadPoint Technologies or by BroadPoint consulting staff at your office location).
